Public & Science Sweden is developing a national resource centre for courses and training in science communication. The centre is aimed at those who support researchers in enhancing their science communication skills.
Based on the courses in Science communication that we developed in 2022, we want to create a network for science communicators to exchange experiences and take advantage of the latest international findings on research about Science Communication and international developments in the field designed to help, support and educate researchers in their own organisations.
During 2024, we investigated what course provision currently exists and identified the challenges and needs faced by course providers. Read the VA Report Resurscentrum för utbildningar i forskningskommunikation – en förstudie och bakgrund (In Swedish).
As part of this work, we are also the Swedish hub of the European Competence Center for Research Communication being run as part of the EU COALESCE project. We will launch a series of recurring webinars for Science communicators in 2025.
