Healthy soils provide us with many essential ecosystem services. The soil purifies and absorbs water, reducing the risks of floods and droughts. It also produces food, biomass, and sequesters large amounts of carbon. By acting as both a carbon sink and water absorber, soil plays a crucial role in regulating the climate.
The EU is investing heavily to increase knowledge about soil and its role in a sustainable transition. Public & Science is a partner in the EU project LOESS and we need your help, as teachers and educators, to co-create new learning resources on soil.
In order to do this, we need to understand what you need or lack when it comes to teaching about soil. We are therefore inviting educators across Europe to participate in the survey below. The survey is aimed at educators (primary, secondary, higher education, vocational trainers, and those involved in extracurricular educational initiatives) who teach relevant topics (geography, biology, sustainability, agriculture, etc.)
The survey is open until 19 July 2024
The survey is also available in 13 other languages.
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!
