Public involvement, co-creation, citizen science and other methods for engaging patients and the general public benefits research studies. It brings new insights and perspectives to increase the societal relevance of the research, and promote the dissemination and uptake of research findings.
Research funders and scientific journals increasingly expect researchers to involve stakeholders in research when addressing societal challenges. But where do we start? Is involvement a buzzword? Is it for you? How do we engage with the different public groups and make it sustainable?
All KI researchers interested in the topic – with or without prior experience – are welcome to participate in this workshop where we discuss, share good practices and lessons learned, success factors, potential challenges and provide expert advice on public involvement in research.
