The EUSEA (European Science Engagement Association) annual conference invites public engagement specialists and science communication experts from around the world to two days full of discussions, debates, talks, sessions and workshops.

Three keynote speakers will give inspiration:

  • Melanie Smallman from UCL, London, will reflect on the role of science communication in the era of the socially relevant issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
  • Sam Illingworth from Manchester Metropolitan University will discuss how poetry can be used to enable, mediate, and facilitate dialogue between scientists and non-scientists resulting in a meaningful impact of scientific research.
  • Martin Moder from the Science Busters, Austria, will present the Science Busters’ experience in making complex scientific topics accessible to wider audiences through comedy shows.

On Thursday, 9 May at 14:00 – 15:30 Lena Söderström, Project & Communications Manager at VA will speak about the Star-Spotting Experiment, the new Mass Experiment of European Researchers’ Night in Sweden, in the session:
