Join the CitizAir project and work alongside the City of Stockholm, VA Public & Science, and KTH to create an interactive augmented reality application that connects up-to-date air data with information screens in the urban environment. We are seeking an Augmented Reality Creative Engineer to help develop the visualization tool needed for this project.
Your profile
As our ideal candidate, you will have at least a BS in engineering or CS, or equivalent, with a MS being a plus. You should be proficient in Unity programming, Blender or equivalent modeling, animating, shading, lighting, and AR programming such as Android or iOS, AR Core or ARKit, and AR Foundations – Unity. Additionally, you should be adept at documenting code, version control (GitHub), designing user interfaces, and running simple user tests. Experience with Agile programming styles (SCRUM) and visualization programming with D3 or Vega is also beneficial.
Your role
In this role, you will work closely with the project partners, analysing findings from workshops with Stockholm citizens, and co-creating an AR-application. You will also participate in testing and feedback sessions, requiring strong analytical and social skills. You should have experience writing and presenting in English, with written understanding of Swedish being necessary and speaking being a plus. An ability to set and deliver on your own goals is highly valued, as well as creativity and thinking outside of the box.
Location
The part-time position is located at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, at the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science EECS. You will work closely with the Visualization Studio VIC team (check out our Facebook page). The start date will be approximately mid August 2023 with an estimated duration of four months.
