Falling Walls Engage Hub Sweden

Science engagement takes many different forms around the world. The Falling Walls Engage Hubs bring together practitioners from different countries and regions to exchange knowledge, share experiences and build international collaborations. The Falling Walls Engage Hub Sweden connects science engagement and science communication practitioners across the Nordic-Baltic region with the wider international Falling Walls Engage network.

A Nordic-Baltic network for science engagement

Hub Sweden aims to strengthen connections across the science engagement community in Northern Europe and create opportunities to share methods, experiences and examples of good practice with colleagues internationally.

Coordinated by Public & Science Sweden, the network is open to science communicators, public engagement professionals and others working to connect research and society across Denmark, Estonia, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Åland.

Through online and in-person meetings, workshops and other activities, participants can exchange knowledge, develop new collaborations and explore common challenges and opportunities in science engagement. The Hub also provides opportunities for members to increase the visibility of their work and connect with practitioners in other parts of the world.

Activities place particular emphasis on perspectives and experiences from the Nordic-Baltic region while contributing to wider international discussions on science engagement and science communication. Members can also take part in activities organised by other Falling Walls Engage Hubs and contribute ideas for future events and collaborations.
